Individual therapy can look different for each person depending on their own relationship to their mental health experiences and unique goals.

It’s important to keep your story at the heart of what we do. I offer both in-person or virtual talk and experiential therapies as well as walk and talk therapy where we take measures to ensure your right to confidentiality is protected.

Overall, the interventions I use are meant to help you discover what works best for you in a given session. I welcome you to share any previous experiences you’ve had with therapy and discuss what’s worked for you and what hasn’t. This can look like any combination of the kinds of therapy detailed below.

Click on the name of a kind of therapy to learn more:

  • Find a balance between thoughts and emotions as a dialect

  • Discover effective coping across varying levels of distress

  • Strengthen interpersonal effectiveness skills

  • Practice mindfulness and radical acceptance to stay in grounded in the present

  • Understand the impacts of trauma as parts of you that carry certain behaviors and beliefs to help you survive

  • Work to unburden these parts where they may no longer get stuck in harmful cycles

  • Change your relationship to them to one that helps reconnect with your sense of self and others

  • Name the problems in your life and the effects they have separate from others’ perceptions of them

  • Explore areas where these problems have had as much effect through metaphor, cocreation, and self expression

  • Author a new story that is more true to you and your strengths

  • Learn how responses to trauma show up in the body

  • Create safety around certain responses to trauma through your mind body connection

  • Use the power of the senses and movement to help integrate safety

  • Bring this sense of safety back to your relationship with self and others
